We begin with gloomy skies & mosquitoes waiting with anticipation outside the kitchen door. It seems they've figured us out and know that morning is a perfect time to strike. (fresh food & frowny faces) This day could bring a few comrades to the brink of madness.
A 6:30am cell phone wake up to cook pancakes and sausages for the hard working front line folks. Now I await my first shower since Saturday morning. However much I enjoy being a "dirty stinky hippy", a good scrub down and inspection of bites will be enjoyable. But as the Englishman has just informed me, there are a pair of mosquitoes awaiting me in the bathroom. A pair who love to pray on the weak and the naked! eeeek!
So far costuming has gone swimmingly. A 2am wake up to wash costumes for the next day has not dampened my spirits! Creating the "killer" through random tosses of blood and dirt has become a complete joy. As he lounges waiting for the next shot I get tingles, knowing he may end up in someones nightmare one day.
Yesterday I made my first batch of faux intestines. Fairly tasty actually, they may just be tomorrow's breakfast. Brendon has been a huge addition to the team. With a wealth of experience and creativity, anything is possible.
Today and tomorrow will be a huge learning lesson in costuming for a horror film. The blood will fly and things will get messy. Continuity is key!
